The Preschool Place and Kindergarten
The Preschool Place and Kindergarten provides a safe, developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth, as well as a positive self image and a love of learning.
Many crafts and activities in the 3’s program are centered on developing fine motor skills. Using tweezers to retrieve small objects from a sensory bin, playing with Play-Doh, and using different objects to create paper crafts all strengthen hands and fingers so that students are better able to master writing shapes and letter formation.
G’day mates! Kindergarteners have wrapped up a long visit to the land down under. They sampled some of the local favorites – Tim Tams and Fairy Bread – and learned about the diversity of animals that call Australia home. Students created colorful animal masks, made echidna paper crafts, and designed their own boomerangs with aboriginal motifs. Students had a chance to “visit” the iconic Sydney Opera House and go on a walk-about in the Outback. The children loved learning about the history and biodiversity of beautiful Australia.
