After School Programs

** Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, unfortunately we will not be offering these classes until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.**

Save the driving and have your child take an after-school class in the building they are going to school in!  The Preschool Place and Kindergarten is happy to host age-appropriate extra-curricular activities in chinese language and culture, soccer, dance, and karate.

Chinese Language and Culture

Tuesdays 2:30 – 3:15  Starts October 29
Learn Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture with Cynthia Yu, a native Chinese speaker who holds a BA and New Jersey teacher certification and has more than 16 years teaching experience.  This is the 7th year Miss Cynthia is offering her program at The Preschool Place & Kindergarten.  Why learn Chinese? According to surveys, the top reason is “To be equipped for future opportunities!”  Familiarity with Chinese gives your child a powerful tool for the fast-growing Global village.  The most widely-spoken language on the planet, Mandarin Chinese is one of the principal languages of the future.  This carefully designed program and child-friendly curriculum will utilize games, songs, stories, books, art & crafts to teach young children from non-Mandarin/Chinese speaking families. See the Chinese Language Flyer for registration and more information.

Soccer with Kiddie Soccer

Wednesdays 2.30 – 3.30 Spring session starts April 22
Kiddie Soccer, founded in 1997, was the first soccer program in New Jersey for preschool age children.  In fact, to this day, we are the only soccer organization in New Jersey that focuses exclusively on preschool age children.  What does that mean to a Kiddie Soccer participant?  It means that Kiddie Soccer ensures that our coaches have the right personality, demeanor and overall understanding of how to teach soccer to children between the ages of 3 ½ and 6.  Our staff of soccer coaches has developed a series of fun, thematic games designed to teach the children the very basics of soccer.  Games such as Sleeping Giant, Red Light Green Light, Sharks & Minnows, and Soccer Potato are used to teach the children soccer in a fun-filled, safe and constructive environment. See the Soccer Spring 2020 for registration and more information.
